Bedroom Trends we'll See Next Year

Simple is boring but outdated is much more boring. One of the things that are rapidly changing nowadays is the trend of bedroom styles. The themes of bedrooms are always changing and the fact that it’s already three quarters of the year already makes a lot of people excited for the coming bedroom trend for the coming year!

But why are bedroom styles rapidly changing? What are the things to look forward to next year? And what are, instead, those things that will never be out of style?

The major reason why bedroom styles are always changing is first that bedroom styles are based on a person’s preferences. The bedroom is the most intimate room of the house and it’s where you can venture something different.

Also today, because there is more content on the internet, most people rely on them to see what’s new and what’s trendy and find very easy inspiration for a new decor. It is already given that the change of styles is inevitable.

1. Luxe Headboards

luxe headboards or beds bring out the sophistication of the bedroom. Most Kenyan celebrities have this type of headboards. They may come at a costly price but they are worth the investment.

2. Minimalist Bedroom

Your bedroom should be spacious. Yes, I know, not all people were lucky enough to have a big one and most people would have the regular, standard size of the room. Working with minimalist decor, by decluttering useless stuff, is the best way to make your bedroom feel bigger. That’s probably why minimalism is becoming a big trend for bedroom design.

3. Pastel and Neutral colour themes

If a soothing sanctuary is more your style, looks for soft pastel hues. Blush, lavender, dusky pink, and peach are all perfectly subdued and perfectly of the moment.

We’re seeing today’s bedrooms take on a spa-like quality, and that’s a vibe we can get behind. Crisp white walls are a must. Neutral bedding and furniture is a great complement or you can go monochromatic with white on white.

4. Not-boring Nightstands

The nightstand is a great place to have a little fun. We’re seeing interesting shapes, bold colours, mixed-media designs, and unconventional uses, such as repurposed bar carts.

5. Statement Lighting and Plants

This year, lighting is just as much about form as it is function. Above-bed chandeliers and pendant pairs add a little something unexpected, and we’re seeing wall sconces take the place of bedside lamps.

Touches of greenery (real and faux) are showing up everywhere, and we like how they add an organic feel to any bedroom. Planters aren’t just for the outdoors.
