Real Estate Agent

What is real estate?Oh, selling houses but does it pay? Who earns more the owner or you? As real estate agents, we get asked such questions everyday. It is puzzling that some Kenyans are not aware of a whole existing industry which is growing, and fast. We, at Kenya Homes, saw an opportunity and jumped into the bandwagon. Years later, we are still here and loving it.

As real estate agents, we play a pretty big role in our clients’ lives. Our profession entails a lot of negotiations and relationship building. The client comes to us with a vision and expects the vision to be delivered. Although, our job seems simple it has its challenges. Despite these challenges, our rewards are great. You may ask yourself, what is rewarding about selling property?

1.You are your own boss

The growth of the business is in our own hands. We make the decisions and the choices. We decide how many clients or transactions we want to handle, how to market ourselves and our listings, and how to serve our clients. Moreover, without an employer breathing down our neck for results.

Sounds appealing?

2.Real estate is flexible

We are not stuck in the office. Sometimes our office is simply our “mobile” and perhaps a laptop or tablet. Furthermore, other times we don’t even have a strict work schedule from 8am – 5pm. Most hours are influenced by the needs of our clients and customers.

Shocking?

3. Real estate allows for variety

What this means is- we often venture into other business opportunities because we have the time. Therefore, due to its flexibility,we also can go back to school. We have a whole career and yet we also have time to enjoy ourselves. Taking a trip or going back to school. We can choose.

Mind-blowing?

4. The rewards

Our biggest reward is helping the buyer and seller during a challenging time. Many real estate consumers don’t know much about the industry. A sales transaction involves packing and moving, cleaning and repairs, inspections and appraisals, financial assessments, and property analysis. Basically, its stressful, and exciting, for both the buyer and the seller. Therefore, we offer a solution to our clients and in return they offer us: their trust.

However, if you are wondering What about the money? The money is great but the relationship we build during the process will outlive the money.
