Almost all Kenyans wan to be part of the rush life of the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the neighbourhoods are posh and grand while having one of the best real estate properties in the country. Today we&#8217;ll look neighbourhoods in Nairobi that boom with real estate market<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lavington<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lavington is home to high-end mansions that cost no less than Sh50 million. It has been a favourite among Kenyans even before the coming of high rise apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is preferred by the country\u2019s elite for hosting some of the best schools in Kenya such as&nbsp;<strong>St.Mary\u2019s<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Loreto Convent school<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>St.Austin\u2019s Academy<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Braeside School<\/strong>&nbsp;among others. Average rent is about Sh150,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kitisuru<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is located beyond&nbsp;<strong>Westlands<\/strong>; in a hilly undulating landscape. Kitisuru is undoubtedly the preferred residential area for families that have children attending the International School of Kenya, Peponi School and Rosslyn Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s close proximity to the UN complex is a reason why security at the estate is of high standards. Just recently, it was reported that Kitisuru is home to Kenya\u2019s most expensive home with a price tag of more than Sh600 million! Rent goes for an average of Sh350,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Runda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This affluent estate is one of the largest gated community in the country. It is secured by a number of barriers, which are manned 24 hours by guards on Limuru Road, Kiambu Road, the UN Avenue and the access to Mumwe. The average price for a house is Sh50 million with an average rental rate standing at Sh350,000 per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Karen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This affluent neighbourhood was once a coffee plantation owned by Danish author, Karen Blixen-Finecke. The estate is characterized by a mix of old colonial bungalows and lovely villas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also home to high-profile citizens and politicians. Average rental price could go for Sh200,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Muthaiga<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the home of choice for many of the country\u2019s wealthiest individuals. It also serves as the home to many ambassadorial homes including that of the American envoy to Kenya. The posh estate has top-notch security with carefully tended grounds and houses similar to the English country estates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The estate is home to<strong>&nbsp;Muthaiga Golf Club<\/strong>&nbsp;and neighbouring&nbsp;<strong>Windsor Golf Club<\/strong>. The average price of a house goes for Sh65 million while it will cost you a staggering Sh400, 000 per month to pay house rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gigiri<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gigiri is the hub of diplomatic entities including the&nbsp;<strong>UNEP<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>United States Embassy<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Canadian High Commission<\/strong>&nbsp;among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is considered as one of Kenya\u2019s most posh suburbs alongside Runda and Muthaiga which are close to the place. Moreover, the residential estate hosts the large\u00a0<strong>Village Market<\/strong>\u00a0complex.
